Plenty of quotes get written from the driveway. Ours does not. We climb up, walk the roof and photograph every fault we find: ridge capping, bedding and pointing, fixings, valleys, gutters and the condition of the coating that is already up there.
You get the photos and an itemised written quote. Even if you never hire us, you finally know what shape your roof is actually in.
How a Platinum job runs
You know what is happening, what it costs and when it is finished before a single ladder goes up.
We get up on the roof, not a guess from the driveway. We photograph the ridge capping, bedding and pointing, fixings, valleys, gutters and the condition of the existing coating.
You get the findings and a written, itemised quote. You can see exactly what work is being done and what it costs before anything starts.
Repointing, re-bedding, rescrews, broken tiles and damaged sheets are all sorted before any coating goes on. Coating over a fault just hides it.
The whole roof gets a high-pressure clean to strip mould, dirt and buildup back to a sound surface so the coating actually bonds.
We apply the Shieldcoat system as accredited applicators, in your chosen colour, to the manufacturer’s specification.
We walk the job with you, clean up the site, and hand over your 12-year workmanship warranty and 6-year Shieldcoat colour fade warranty in writing.

Roof coatings are easy to sell and hard to judge. You cannot see the difference between a good job and a cheap one for about three wet seasons. So we put the answer in writing at handover instead of asking you to take our word for it.
Our accreditation with Shieldcoat is what makes the coating warranty possible. An applicator without it cannot issue one.

Where we work
Our yard is in Smithfield, which puts the northern beaches on our doorstep. Most weeks we are on roofs in Trinity Beach, Trinity Park, Kewarra Beach, Clifton Beach and Palm Cove. That stretch cops the worst of the salt air coming off the water, and roof coatings give out years earlier there than they do inland.
We work right through the middle of Cairns too: Edge Hill, Whitfield, Freshwater, Stratford, Brinsmead and Redlynch, where the older tile roofs up on the range hold moss and mould through the wet. South of the city we cover Earlville, Mount Sheridan, Bentley Park, Edmonton and out to Gordonvale.

Price comes down to roof size, roof type and how much repair work is needed before coating. That is why the inspection and written quote are free, we get on your roof, photograph the condition, and give you an itemised price with no obligation.
Most residential roofs are a multi-day job across repairs, cleaning, drying and coating. Cairns weather is the main variable: we do not coat a wet roof. We give you a realistic window with the quote and keep you posted if rain moves it.
Yes. We are based in Smithfield, so Trinity Beach, Trinity Park, Kewarra Beach, Clifton Beach, Palm Cove and Yorkeys Knob are right on our doorstep, and we work through Cairns city and the southern suburbs as well.
Full restorations carry a 12-year workmanship warranty from us, and Shieldcoat finishes carry a 6-year colour fade warranty. Both are handed over in writing when the job is signed off.
Shieldcoat only issues accreditation to applicators approved to install its roof coating systems to specification. That accreditation is what backs the coating warranty, an unaccredited applicator cannot give you one.
Restoration is generally a fraction of the cost of replacement when the roof structure is still sound. If the sheeting or tiles are past saving we will tell you that straight up at the inspection rather than coat a roof that needs replacing.
Not when the pressure and technique are matched to the roof type. We adjust for tile, Colorbond and older sheeting, and any brittle or broken tiles found during the clean get repaired as part of the job.
No. Once the quote is signed off and we have access, you do not need to be there. We will let you know each day what is happening and send photos of the progress.
